I caved this past week and put on long pants and a sweatshirt...LOL! My body definitely knows we are in late fall. No heat on in the house yet, but probably some time this coming week. The temp in the house is 66 so it's ok so far. I saw beautiful pictures from friends up north of the snow this past week...so pretty!
Another change/ending in my world. I finished with my last client in my other business on 31 October and I am working toward shutting it down completely (something I have not done before). All I know is it involves forms and notifying tax entities (but I'll learn). I started that business on 30 September 2005 to help a friend and it grew to more than I expected and quickly. The extra income was nice to have, but with me out of town over the past several years, I let it dwindle down (even turned down new clients) as I knew it was not something I wanted to do forever. I learned so much from it and made many contacts, but I just know it's time to close up shop so to speak. They say when one door closes another opens so I'll see what may happen next.
I put in a few extra hours this past week at work with my client. It was a mixed week in terms of ups/downs as he was a bit cantankerous, but we still accomplished a few things. With the weather changing it will be more challenging to get him outside, but we'll find ways to incorporate a little walk inside the building.
I finished reading: "DEATH IN THE OFF SEASON" AND "DEATH IN A COLD HARD LIGHT" both by Francine Mathews. They are part of the Merry Folger Nantucket Mystery series. Interesting characters. I watched a Hallmark movie or two and lots of shows about Alaska and the people there.
