Welcome to summer! I saw some gorgeous pictures of the Strawberry moon. We had a couple of wonderful days, but we are back in the thick of summer with heat/humidity. Oh well, that's what summer is about. No new recipes this past week, but we'll see what this coming week brings.
I can't believe it's almost July. I just told someone the other day that time seems to go faster as I get older. I can't believe on 1 July, I will be retired 7 years...where has the time gone? Many changes during this time.
I had a wonderful lunch with a former colleague the other day. We have not seen each other in quite a while. She just retired and moved farther out. I took a lovely ride out in the county and had lunch at a restaurant I had not been too previously (about 1/2 way between us). We had an enjoyable time catching up - I love a leisurely lunch.
I worked my normal schedule and my client kept me busy. I took her out the other day and she thought we might have to wait so she told me to take her wheelchair. I did not even know she had a portable wheelchair. If I had known, we definitely would have used it previously. Thank goodness we took it as we had to wait about 45 minutes and she was comfortable.
This past week I finished reading: "THE CHICKEN SISTERS" by KJ Dell'Antonia - recommended by Reese's book club. Food competition among family. Also, "THE PALM BEACH MURDERS" by James Patterson. This is three books in one. Murder and mayhem (I think I read at least one a week). I also watched: "A CALL TO SPY" (2019). Good movie set at the beginning of WW II. Churchill ordered the creation of a new spy agency to train women for covert operations. Good movie.
