We had a busy week catching with my BFF's family and friends in Minnesota. We got to see quite a few members of the family and shared many laughs and memories. Then we headed toward Missouri to attend a wedding yesterday. The wedding was late afternoon so I was a bit tired, but stayed through most of the reception. Lots of pictures from the week are on my personal FB page. I have a few more to share especially of last night's sky.
My BFF and I shared a few laughs this week whether it's understanding the GPS directions or putting the wrong gas in the van (no worries it did not harm anything). Last night as we drove back to the hotel a gigantic bolt of lightening lit up the sky not far from us. We both jumped and yelped and I thought OMG we are in the middle of open fields. Luckily, the majority of the rain held off until we got back to the hotel.
I have been able to pick up a couple of postcards for a friend's daughter. Her class is trying to collect postcards from all over the U.S. I wish I had known sooner, but at least I have a few to give her.
Yesterday would have been my mom's 90th birthday so she was on my mind lots this past week. I know she's watching over me and I'm sure she is chuckling up there when I do something klutzy or goofy.
Although I love to travel, I think it will be good to be home this week. I can't wait to see my chiropractor next week. With my joints acting up we did not do everything we wanted, but I have a list of places I want to go to when I'm able to do more.
This past week I finished reading: "PAYBACK IN DEATH" by J. D. Robb - part of the Death series.
