Overall, I had a sleepy week. Our weather this past week was rainy/overcast so I got minimum (if that) walking done. Although we need the rain, for me, it turned into a sleepy week. I took long naps every afternoon, which did not interfere with my overnight sleep at all. I listen to my body about naps and either nap in my recliner or move on over to the couch. Although I am not doing much per se, my mind is always turning and learning. The weeds are popping up like crazy so each day as I walk to the mail box, I pull a weed or two.
I did get some cooking done last weekend so we had meals for a couple of days - spaghetti casserole and pizza (sauce and cheese). Both were very good. I'll be experimenting a little this week with vegetable forward meals so we'll see what I can concoct.
I had a nice dinner out with friends at a newer restaurant for me. Before dinner, walked around the town center a little bit getting a look at a couple of other places to try with this group. A very nice evening spent catching up and when the food/service is good, it makes for a great evening.
This past week I finished reading: "THE GERMAN WIFE" by Kelly Rimmer - inspired by a true story of Operation Paperclip: a controversial secret US Intelligence program that employed former nazis after World War II. Very good read about family, secrets and second chances. "THE KEEPERS" by Jeffrey B. Burton (A Mace Reid K-9 mystery) - murder/mayhem and learned about cadaver dogs.
