As I have been writing the past few weeks about my trip there are so many things I have not included and will probably at some point including some pictures. The local restaurants and shops were great. All the people I met whether be locals or transplants were terrific. They each had stories and were great representatives of themselves. I truly found as long as you are nice to people they will be nice to you. If you ever get a chance to take a vacation like this I hope you take advantage. It was relaxing, educational, recharging, and peaceful. Mary did a great job planning out the trip and I hope she had as much fun as I did. I thank her for taking me on this adventure!
The trip did make me think about the possibility of taking vacations in the winter to a warm climate. I had not thought of that possibility before, but the thoughts were flowing as we traveled from town to town. I think I could work part time in the tourist industry for a couple of months per year.
Since I got home on Thursday I have been running around getting things done. I had a lovely lunch today with the retired chicks! We got a chance to catch up before I head out again. I feel like I'm just packing all the mail and books I have not had a chance to read. Thank goodness I don't have to pack a lot of clothes or shoes, but I better throw in a couple of sweaters since I'm heading to the cold and snow.
I am excited to see my family tomorrow and give my dad a big hug and see my mom. I do understand that I might have to dig out the car of the drifting snow. My dad's driveway had about 2 1/2 feet and I heard a path was cleared from the street to the door, but that was about it. Oh well, I'll get some exercise in and work on building my arm muscles again. I also heard they may get more snow tomorrow night...oh well it is New England after all. I will be sitting in my dad's living room watching the Super Bowl and doing some catching up on my mail by this time tomorrow night. If it snows it snows! GO PATRIOTS!!!
I am going to leave it here tonight. My heart is blissfully full as I look at the pictures I took and I am grateful that I was able to take this journey. Take care of yourself. Enjoy your week. Chat soon. Marie
