We had some crazy thunder/lightening storms - very loud and very bright. Luckily, the power only blinked. Not sure I could have lasted long without AC if the power went out. In our community, someone had a tree fall on the house. Luckily, I made it home every day before storms started.
I had a busy week, but also had day off so overall it was a good week. As one client is weaning herself from care (she's doing awesome), myy one client may need additional care soon, so we'll see how it goes. One day at a time for now.
Here's my funny story of the week. I don't do too many things spur of the moment, but I seem to when it comes to cars. I do lots of research in advance before I even approach any dealer for a test drive, but I normally know what I want by then and go for it. After a few weeks of research and mulling over a few things, I traded in my car and purchased a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica minivan. I got almost what I paid for my Ford Escape at trade in and the mini van was only a little bit more. Low mileage and comfort were on my agenda. Believe me when I say I surprised quite a few as I hardly said a word to anyone. I knew I was on the right track when I was in the dealer mulling over paperwork and received a sign from my dad. You should have seen the look on my BFF's face when I got home. We moved a few items in the garage and it fits.
My normal procrastinator side - even after the above story - did get some things done. I know I procrastinate and try to put steps in place so I will take action as needed. Sometimes the steps work and sometimes they don't, but I never give up trying. This past week I cleaned out a box or two. It is still difficult to remove some of the sentimental value, but I'm working on it. I was able to sort and organize a bit. In doing so, I realized I did not have any family pictures displayed in my room, so I took care of that. I'll see what I can get done today.
I did not finish any books this past week; but I did catch up on some shows - Biography: KiSStory; Superstar: Kobe Bryant; Whitney Houston; and John Ritter; Ruth: Justice Ginsburg In Her Own Words (2019); and Great Performances: Andrea Bocelli: Believe. All very good and I learned a few things about these people along the way. Now I realize why I did not read too much...LOL!
