The highlight of my week was I had lunch with a friend I Jazzercised with for several years. I have not seen her in a few years as life got in the way. We had a nice time catching up with our lives and discussing caregiving which we have both been involved in over the years.
I had one of those weeks where I was not up to par and napping became an essential life force. I did not feel bad, but had no energy or appetite and napped quite a bit longer and more than usual. I felt off enough to notify my primary asking her to be sure to review my bloodwork which I had done in preparation for treatment. I had my flu shot which did not change the way I felt one way or the other. When I was honest with the oncology nurse about how I felt or what the week was like, she checked and I missed a message from my doctor providing orders for a few more blood tests. As I felt the best I had all week, they allowed me to have my 13th treatment and bloodwork the next day. So far, a virus (again) seems to be the big winner as to what I was going through. I'll know more tomorrow when I hear back from the bloodwork as I have a telecall with the rheumatologist. I love being a pincushion - at least I have not bruised from all the pokes. I am determined to make it through this year of treatement side effects be damned. I am feeling better after treatment so I am hoping it was a passing virus.
Football Sundays are back...you know what that means - my favorite pregame show will be on. I'll be sure to be awake during this hour...LOL! I may not watch all the games, but I do pay attention to what's happening. I'm a proud New England fan and have been since way back when. I also try to root for the team where I live which has been difficult for a few years, but a new era starts.
This past week I finished reading: "HUSH LITTLE GIRLS" (book 11 Josie Quinn Detective series) and "HER DEADLY TOUCH" (book 12 Josie Quinn Detective series) by my Lisa Regan. "IDENTITY" by Nora Roberts - a little bit of everything rolled into one.
