I'm writing tonight because we'll be on the road in the morning. I spent this past week in Blaine Minnesota visiting with my BFF's family. So great to see so many. We had something to do every day so we kept busy. Lots of laughs and good food was had by all. We started the road trip with three, but now down to two as we leave one in Minnesota. If you read my personal FB page, you know I picked up a new yard toy (Tonka the gnome) and he's strapped into the car ready for the trip. He's easy to take care of and no complaints whatsoever...LOL! We are starting the trek East, but with plenty of stops along the way.
The hardest part of the trip so far has been the time change and it's only an hour, but it keeps throwing me off. I don't think with all my overseas travel I was thrown off by time changes as much as I have been this past week. I know my life should not run around TV shows, but in many ways that how I tell time...LOL! Thank goodness the DVR at home is capturing what I'm missing.
I have to say it feels good just relaxing and not worrying about work and my client. I check in with her about once a week and send her a picture or two so she knows I'm around. She told me she has much to tell me when I return. I'll have lots of pictures to share which will make her quite happy.
Did you order anything on Amazon Prime days? I did order a couple of things and then remembered to reach out to a friend to pick up the delivery. I could not delay the delivery so thank goodness for local friends.
This past week I finished reading: "Leader of the Pack" and "Unleashed" both by David Rosenfelt - both part of the Andy Carpenter series.
