I saw quite a few bright red cardinals this past week and a couple of huge blue jays. They were pretty close to me so I think my angels were letting me know they are watching over me.
Happy to report toilet was repaired (by a professional in less than 15 minutes), but still waiting for the washing machine to be repaired. Parts are on order so hopefully I'll get an update on Monday. I know I have way too many things when I can go three weeks without doing laundry. Thank you to Mary who let me use her washing machine for a couple of loads so I have work clothes for Monday.
I had one of those days this past week where things were just not going my way. Waiting for repair or delivery people who were very late; which made me late for work (you know I hate to be late) which put me in not the greatest of moods. I was also tired which made it a bigger deal than it was and brought out the negative thoughts. I let my expectations take over my thought process and that's never a good thing for me. I've worked hard at not letting my expectations get the better of me, but every once in a while they show up. I finally took a breath and and turned my thought process around a bit. I thought about how my day went as it was meant to go and found a few things to be grateful for. I try to use my commute home as a way to decompress and think good thoughts. I did joke that I was going to be a cranky old woman (no comments) with a cane that can be used as a weapon...LOL!
This past week I finished reading: "THE PARIS ORPHAN" by Natasha Lester. Story shifts between World War II and present time. It is about life, love, friendship, and heartbreak. Strong women characters. Excellent book. I laughed and cried. (I really need to read more and play games a little less...LOL!)
