I overall had a good week. I had a bit of a summer cold, but not enough to knock me down. At least I did not have a fever. I even had a cold in my eye (long time since I had one) there. Over the counter decongestants and warms cloths for the eye did the trick. Also, a bit of nap time.
I had a wonderful breakfast with my friend Gina. She was my hairdresser for several years and convinced me to use the crazy colors which brought lots of joy and laughter to my mom and other residents at the nursing home. They never knew what color I would come in with and always got comments and laughter. She was also the first person to notice the mole in my head and documented it with pictures about 10 years ago which I provided my doctor. Although she stopped being my hairdresser many years ago, for many reasons, we remained friends and always keep in touch. This was our first in-person in several years and it was great. Look forward to getting together again soon.
I had my 10th treatment this past week. This time one nurse got the IV in on the first try and no bruises. Much better than last time. I guess it depends on what my veins are up to that day. I'm having some joint pain and explained to the nurse, who was not surprised as my numbers are still a bit off. So the good news for the week is my rash is lessening (thank goodness the dermatologist gave a tub of medicated cream instead of the little tubes), but the joint pain is a little worse. Oh well, still counting my blessings.

This past week I finished reading: "THE BOYS" by Ron Howard & Clint Howard - a very good read and perspective of growing up in Hollywood. "SISTERS IN ARMS by Kaia Alderson - Based on the true story of the 6888th Postal Battalion (the Six Triple Eight), explores the untold story of what life was like for the only all-Black, female U.S. battalion to be deployed overseas during World War II. Very good book. "VANISHING GIRLS" - Lisa Regan - Book 1 of the Josie Quinn series - complex murder mystery. (I am surprised I finished three books as I felt I napped a lot more...LOL!)
Are you prepping for Amazon Prime sales this week...LOL? I don't plan on purchasing anything, but the again you never know what might cross my feed that day.
I am leaving it here for today. I guess I don't have a lot to pass on today. Since it's just about 5 am I think I'll head on back to bed. I hope you have a good week where you are. Take care. Chat soon. Marie
