I did not return to work so my week was very slow paced...which means I should have gotten more accomplished than I did. I've started my list for today and tomorrow to get things cleaned up and put away. Then time to work on a calendar for the week as I know I need a routine to follow to keep myself motivated or you'll find me imitating a sloth in my recliner.
I talked with my boss about work and boundaries regarding hours and locations. I can't believe Friday was my two year anniversary of working for this company. I do not want to interfere with my elderly client who has adjusted to a new aid and more hours (especially overnight). I will reach out and visit with her at some point, but not as her companion. I'm sad in many ways, but I know it's harder for the elderly to adjust to aids coming/going and the confusion it causes. At some point, she will need more care than I can provide so it's better for her to have the right people around her now.
I had a delicious dinner with friends the other evening. We caught up as much as we could. It was an upscale restaurant that was packed to the gills and obnoxiously loud. The service was wonderful, but the atmosphere not so much. I was surprised it was so loud as it was not the open ceiling concept so many restaurants have so it must have been the clientele. I felt horrible for friends with hearing aids as they could not hear us, but the overall noise was too much. As we departed and walked by the bar, we thought, this would have been the perfect place for us as it was quiet. Although the food was excellent, I would not return.
This past week I finished reading: "THE HADES FACTOR" by Robert Ludlum and Gayle Lynds. Mystery and intrigue in the pharmaceutical community. So interesting and timely, if I was a conspiracy theorist I would be much more concerned. Also, caught up on TV shows missed my traveling (thank goodness for the DVR).
