I had one of those week as we sometimes have and the days flew by. I started out Monday with a very flat tire (luckily only a block from home). I know this may sound funny, but it made me twenty-five minutes late for work and it totally upset my world. I think in all the years I worked full time whether in Massachusetts or Northern Virginia, I have not been late to start my day. I am known to be on time or even absurdly early (the reason I carry a book everywhere I go). As my father said, if you are not 15 minutes early then you are late. I would rather sit and read than stress over the possibility of being late no matter where I am. Luckily, the week went better after Monday.
My work week went well. My client is definitely glad to be home and doing things her way. She has her to do lists and works on them constantly. Her OCD is in high gear as she focuses on small details ((i realize its what she can control so I take a few deep breaths and try not to comment). The dog and I have shortened our early afternoon walks a little on the very hot days.
I was a bit social over the week as I chatted with the tow truck person, mechanic, and spent time with friends over casual dinners. Lots of peopling so by Friday I was exhausted! You know me, most days I get home from work and crash...LOL!
I added to my collection of certifications as I took the oath as a Virginia Notary Public. I realized that many times my clients need the assistance of a Notary so I decided I might as well add another tool to my belt. I'll be set to go once my stamps arrive.
This past week I finished reading: "WE WERE NEVER HERE" by Andrea Bartz (Reese's Book Club) - psychological thriller. "IN LOVE" by Amy Bloom - a memoir of love and loss. Two different genres and both good.
