I did not make it until midnight New Years Eve. I was so tired I went to bed before 11 and never heard the fireworks that erupted in the neighborhood. I did open the front door before I went to bed and ushered out the old year. When I woke up on New Years Day I opened the bedroom window and welcomed in the new year. Did you perform any rituals/traditions?
How many of you have Xmas put away? Believe me when I say there is no right or wrong answer. I know many took Xmas down right away because of the clutter and such. There are those that keep everything up until the Feast of the Epiphany/Little Christmas (or later) We took down the outside decorations on Saturday and will take our time with the inside. I so love the lights of the Xmas tree, but at some point this week, they will be put away. Leave it up as long as it makes you happy no need to rush anything.
I worked part of the week because of my staycation. I think my client was happy to see me. We had a good day and a not so good day. The not so good days happen and it's usually when he's not feeling his best or he feels the loss of control of his environment. We did our best to get through it and I'm hoping he had a better weekend. Oh well, another week starts tomorrow and I will do my best to brighten his day and give his spouse a break.
I did not finish any books this week. Not sure what I did to occupy my time (perhaps napped). I finished all the Xmas movies that were on the DVR and not much else. I did gather some of my tax papers so that's a start.
