Have you seen the full Buck moon? Caught a glimpse out the window Friday night. It got it's name because this is the time of year when the antlers on bucks are in full growth mode.
Another busy week for me at work, but always feels good to be helpful to my clients. The extra days/hours will only last a few weeks and that's just fine. I know my boss would like me to work more, but I'm good with my normal hours.
I have positional vertigo and it acts up off/on. Well recently it has been acting up a bit, (guess those ear crystals are dislodged), but I know how to move my head to alleviate the worst symptoms. Thank goodness for chiropractic and acupuncture treatments as they so help. I've also started the Epley maneuver again. I have done some research (you know me) and it seems the motion sickness I have had most of my life could be related to vertigo. I hope you don't have to experience it.
I usually complete at least two crossword puzzles a day - yes on paper with pencil. I won't say they are the hardest, but some days they truly make me use my brain and keep it active. I am fascinated by how many words/phrases/adages can mean the same thing. It's a wonder any one learns the English language at all.
I forgot to mention previously while on the train to/from New York, I passed on books. Although I can't read while the train is in motion, I had it out for the stops. On the train up, I realized I had read the book previously so I left it for the next person. On the train back, I had completed a book before the train left the station, so I left it on the train for the next person. I hope they were found by people who enjoy reading.
Have you been able to tell more and more people are on the road again? Seems like traffic is everywhere. People are truly in a hurry and so distracted. I either see people looking down at their crotch or holding in their hand their phone up in front of them. I have my phone in my purse and I don't take it out until I arrive. Luckily, my phone connects to my car so I can hear text messages (which are usually traffic related). I have traffic alerts set up on my phone for my area and some days I just can't believe how often it goes off. I'm glad they are fixing the majority of roads at night - not sure if that's because of the heat or convenience.
This past week I finished reading: "JUST AS I AM: A MEMOIR" by Cicely Tyson with Michelle Burford. Very interesting read about her life and career.
