I slept in a bit this morning, surprised myself. Sundays is the one day, when I wake up in the dark, I usually get up. I know I did wake up at one point early (never looked at clock and turned over). Oh well, guess I needed the sleep.
Overall, I had a good week. I walked almost every day (walks are normally mid-morning before the heat of the day kicks in). We have so many walking paths in our development so I'm trying to take different turns now and then. I'm doing my best to pick up the pace a little bit and lengthen the journey. Some days a bit longer than others, but getting almost two miles. Then my watch buzzes every hour or so to remind me to stand up and move a little. Sometimes, I actually pay attention to that.
I had a Petscan the other day. I have to have certain tests every few months. It's not the test that bothers me, it's the sitting around waiting for the test. I did find out they test my blood before injections and the reason is that too much sugar in blood impacts the way the tracer works. They inject a radioactive sugar and then you sit in a low light room quietly for an hour to let the sugar work its way through your body. Which means I can't read during this time so my mind just wanders...oh the thoughts and memories that come and go...LOL! I'm just glad I'm not claustrophobic because you are in a tube for about 45 minutes strapped in. The Petscan machine is actually so much quieter than the MRI machine. Test results show lots of arthritic and degenerative joints (way too much clumsiness in my past) and NO return of the cancer. The test did wipe me out though, when I got home I ate lunch and then took a very heavy nap on the couch (woke myself up with a huge snort...LOL).
This past week I finished reading: "THE LIGHT WE CARRY" by Michelle Obama - good life lessons. "THE HOUSE IN THE PINES" by Ana Reyes - a Reese Book Club selection - psychological thriller. "COUNTDOWN" by James Patterson and Brendan DuBois - a thriller from page one.
