It was a busy week for me as I started out in NYC. My friends and I had a lazy day on Sunday. We went to a local restaurant and picked up huge take away slices of pizza to heat up in the apartment and desserts (yum!!). We then returned to Virginia on Monday.
Well believe it or not I worked three days this past week with my normal client. I guess my resignation was not processed...LOL! My boss reached over the weekend and asked if there was any way possible for me to work some hours. I advised what I could do and she immediately agreed. My client was ecstatic when she found out. I was able to walk her dog twice a day and see lots of neighbors who had inquired about me. My client is so concerned about which in a way is good as it takes her mind off her own troubles. She gave me a small coin purse and inside was a prayer rosary so I could carry it with me. She was upset because she did not have time to get it blessed. Believe me when I say it's not hard work. I have to admit I was exhausted by Thursday afternoon. Damn that's hard to admit!
Friday I had my second immunotherapy treatment. All went well and I have not noticed any after effects except tiredness, but not exhaustion. As I mentioned previously, my BP has given me a little trouble. Well, Friday it was no better and I had to have my BP taken four times over two hours. At one point, the nurse asked me if I had a headache. I said no why am I stroking out? She kept a sharp eye on me and actually sat in my little area on her computer to keep watch. I did see the machine lights indicated "TOO HIGH." The nurse said at the end when it was closer to normal, we have to notify your primary doctor again. I said, no problem I will send her a note when I get home and agree to whatever she says. I must say, I pride myself on being my age and not having any prescriptions, but as of today I have one.
This past week I finished reading: "THE CHRISTIE AFFAIR" by Nina deGramont - a Reese's Book Club recommendation. Interesting story about the days Agatha Christie went missing in 1926, written from the perspective of the women who had an affair and then married Agatha Christie's husband. Almost reminded me of Agatha Christie's writing style. Also, "THE END...OR IS IT? by Sandy Alemian. This is a medium's guide to unf*ck your brain about death. I have been to group sessions with this medium and receive her newsletters. Very easy to read and very well written.
