This past week went well for me. I finally closed out the bank account for my other business. That was the final item tended to and so that business is finished. I did not work every day because we had an ice storm and one of my clients lives far enough away that I did not want to travel the roads. She is still capable/independent and we had planned in advance. I let her family know as well so they could check on her. My other client and I had a good week. He was mostly cooperative (with me at least). As with many dementia patients, we have good days and not so good days. I can usually make him laugh and re-direct him out of low moments. I notice a few changes happening and document for his spouse and my company. The OT person and I also keep each other informed.
Not much else happened overall. I guess it's the February and pandemic blahs as I don't feel like doing much. When I'm not working I'm at home under my blanket either playing a few games, reading or perhaps taking a nap. I am a person that can nap almost instantaneously. I can feel it coming on. I just pull up the blanket, put the recliner back and I'm out in a few seconds. Naps may not be long, but they are refreshing.
This past week I finished reading: "A STATE OF MIND: FAITH AND THE CIA" by Rolf Mowatt-Larssen - a very interesting read. And, "BECAUSE OF ANNIE" by Bob Harrison - written with love from a husband's role as a caregiver. The author was one of the co-founders of the Caregivers FB page I follow. I watched the first episode of Men in Kilts (on Starz) about two men exploring Scotland - of course Scotland is on my travel list for the future. I caught up on a few more films from Soul Biographies as well.
