I feel like my week was busy, but I can't remember any real significant accomplishments...LOL! Has that ever happened to you? I worked my normal shifts. My client is determined to do more so as she finishes one project, I line up the next one. We usually joke around and I say you should not have told me your list or priorities. I helped her change over decorations from one holiday to another and did a little grocery shopping. The dog was a bit under the weather so we did not walk as much on Friday.
I did have a fantastic dinner the other evening with friends/former colleagues. We get together about every six weeks or so. Good friends, good wine and good food - what more can I ask for? I love that we laugh out loud, talk about so many topics, occasionally talk over each other (not rudely) as well as continue to support each other through the ups and downs of life.
I did a little yard cleanup yesterday. I have a corner of old branches and such and I've been cleaning it out a couple of bags at a time. Got some good arm work in and only a few scrapes. Did you know that the dishwasher needs to be cleaned once in a while to avoid ants. My logical side says, why do I need to clean it when it runs with hot water and detergent every few days? But, I learned the drain itself needs to be disinfected once in a while because food can be trapped. Well, a bit of white vinegar and baking soda as well as a good scrubbing inside/outside and all is well (fingers crossed). Got some additional arm work in...LOL! All in all, my hands are a bit sore today.
This past week I finished reading: "THE OTHER WOMAN" by Hank Phillippi Ryan. Politics, crime and suspense based in Boston. Good read.
