My week was busy (did not work at all) and mostly filled with family. My sister, niece, and youngest nephew (he was a surprise), came to visit on Monday and stayed until Thursday. This was our first in-person visit in a couple of years and it was fun. We did not do much except catch-up, but it was so nice. Yesterday, I had a wonderful lunch in downtown D.C. with my BFF and her nephew (in town for conference). We missed him on our last road trip so it was good to spend time and laugh.
I did not walk as much this past week as I've been trying to do. It was so cold and windy that I just did not feel like bundling up. I did bit of walking within the house to keep these bones moving, just not as much as needed. My goal this week is to add a few more steps.
I am not feeling as tired or as bone-clacking cold as I did a couple of weeks ago, so I'm hoping this means the medication is working to regulate my thyroid. I think these are both good signs, but I'll find out for sure after my next round of blood tests.
I hear from my client/former client (really not sure if I still work or not) almost every day. She checks in to offer prayers and see how I'm doing. I know she wants me to work or visit more, but that's not going to happen right now. I told her previously I would try to visit about once a month and I'm hoping we can keep it that way.
This past week I finished reading: "THE SPY'S SON" by Bryan Denson -The true story of the highest-ranking CIA officer ever convicted of espionage and the son he trained to spy for Russia. A fascinating story.
