I'm a little late this morning as I slept in a bit. I am in New York City and have been out and about quite a bit. I am so blessed to have friends who invite me along when they go to their apartment. Have done a bit of walking every day and yesterday rode the bus. I have to admit it's been awhile since I ventured on the MTA, but it was easier and warmer than walking the twenty blocks to the venue. We always have great food here and usually in unassuming places. I think New York has theaters, event halls and such, just about everywhere.
I worked one day last week with my current client, at the very last minute when her regular aid called out sick. Luckily I don't live too far away so I was there for her normal shift. Toward the end of the week, I was notified my client needed to go to hospital and my boss wanted to know if I could be on hand since I know the client better than anyone. It happened to be the day I was in a car going to NYC. I told them I would be available by phone and text if needed for anything. My client was deathly afraid to go to hospital so she did not go until late afternoon without any aid. My boss and I conferred many times as I provided data. She was diagnosed with COVID (which I know threw her for a loop), but the hospital would not do any further testing and sent her home. I think with all her other health issues some other tests should have been done. I am hoping she follows up with her primary. Of course, my client knows I'm away and has not contacted me. I am working through my boss for information. This was a day I wished I could be in two places at the same time.
I had some sad news as a former client passed away. I had not gotten the chance to visit her since she was moved to assisted living. She was quite the character. She lived a very long life mostly on her terms. She passed peacefully with family near.
This past week I finished reading: "HOLY CHOW" and "SANTA'S LITTLE YELPERS" by David Rosenfelt - the last two books in the Andy Carpenter Series. There are 26 books in the series and I believe I read all but one. Such a fun series.

I was sad to read about former President Carter being placed under hospice care. When he ran for president it was my first time voting and I was excited that it was for president. I then realized I had not heard about him in a while as he withdrew from pubic life for health reasons. My prayers are with him and his family.
I am leaving it here for today. I hope you have a good week. Take care. Chat soon.
