Overall, it was a good week for me. I got some of the tax paperwork together and cleaned out a few things from my other business (as I close it down). My companion work was busy, but good. Although my client was not completely cooperative we had a few good laughs. We also were able to walk outside for a bit which was good for both of us. His care needs are beginning to change a little, but not unexpectedly. My progress notes are probably more detailed than my company wants (old HR documentation habits die hard), but I ensure they have a complete picture of the day.
My mom passed two years ago this coming week. The other day I thought I don't notice symbols for her the way I do for my dad. I thought perhaps she's not watching over me as often. Then I remembered I think of her every day and I usually sing or hum the song I sang to her every day that she was home (You Are My Sunshine). Yesterday morning as I sat staring out the window I realized a bright red cardinal was sitting on the fence just waiting. I smiled and said a quick prayer and the cardinal flew away. Mom let me know she's around.
You know what's driving me crazy this week? On FB recently, people are posting what is it pictures where they take a unfocused or partial picture and have people guess. I'm sure it's fun for someone, but drives me completely bonkers, yes I scroll on by, but still...LOL!
I finished reading: "MURDER AT SPOUTERS POINT" by Leslie Wheeler (part of the Miranda Lewis series). I'm almost finished with an old pile of books that have been around a while - no worries my current pile keeps growing.

Have to love when memories pop up on FB. Recently most the memories were about a road trip to FL I took with my friend Mary to celebrate my retirement. It was an awesome adventure. After the pandemic is over, I hope to take more long road trips in the future to explore more of the USA.
I'm going to leave it here for today. I think I'll head back to bed since it's still o'dark thirty...LOL! I hope you have a good week. Take care. Chat soon. Wear the damn mask! Marie
As Monday we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr., all inspirational quotes are from him:
“Never succumb to the temptation of bitterness.”
“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”
“True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice.”
