The lawn service gathered many bags of leaves yesterday. Of course, the trees are not empty yet so we'll have more, but we'll clean them up. After my bush cropping over the last few weeks, there was a lot that needed clean up in both corners of the backyard. Have you finished for the season?
My week went well. Tried a new small restaurant the other day and had breakfast outside. The owners are working behind the counter and in the kitchen. Food was very good and it was a nice way to start the day. I don't think I've had breakfast out in months.
My BFF broke out the Xmas decorations on Friday. We will decorate inside this week and outside after Thanksgiving. The holidays will be a bit different this year for many including us. Neither of us will travel to see family and vice versa. We are keeping our bubble small and cautionary. It will be different, but I'm hoping for better days in 2021. Most of my shopping is done, now I need to wrap and ship. What about you?
My work went well. My client and I had a couple of walks outside -- some shorter than others. He asked me the other day if I have to wear my mask all the time and I said yes I do. He asked why and I explained there is a virus and my bosses orders (something I knew he would understand). I said it's like being in the military and doing what you are told...he just laughed and started cadence. His PT/OT person had to put together an assessment and talked to me about what I observe. She had a series of questions and scenarios. She asked me because she felt his spouse was not as willing to admit to some of his decline (I don't blame her in many ways). I believe we are both on the same page when it comes to our client and his care.
I had to replace my blue tooth portable speaker the other day. I've had it for a long time and it got plenty of use over the past several years. Believe it or not, I had two and both went within days of each other. My client really likes when I play music - he thinks it's a radio. I had Bose and I purchased a small JBL. I did my research first to get some ideas. It's very small, lightweight. and sounds good.
This past week I finished reading: "CAJUN JUSTICE" by James Patterson & Tucker Axum as well as "THE GOOD DAUGHTER" by Karin Slaughter. Guess it was my week for murder and mayhem. Perhaps I'll go a bit lighter this week. I finished watching the NXIVM documentary...OMG the brainwashing around this organization.

Shout out to my oldest nephew Shamus on his upcoming birthday!
I am leaving it here for today. I hope you have a good week. Take care. Chat soon. Marie
