Well it's been quite a year of masks, shut downs, sanitizing, social distancing and change; but the end of the tunnel is hopefully in sight. My heart hurts for those that we lost and those left behind and all the tragedy experienced. As we know, life changes constantly whether or not we are ready. Not all change is bad so I do hope some stick around for awhile such as telemed, grocery deliveries, work from home options, etc. I don't think we should rush to get back to the old normal, but I'm sure others are chomping at the bit. I'm not ready to jump back into outings quite yet (or at least those with lots of people), but hopefully by summer. I was not always a fan of crowds any way, but now I look at them quite differently. I was blessed enough to be able to work the entire time which is a good thing as I probably would have driven myself crazy. I did read quite a bit, but not as much as I my BFF who has read 135 books during this period...AMAZING!
Work went fairly well. Both clients still not up to par, but on the mend. The advantage of someone like me is that I can see sometimes what the family can not. My view and optic is a bit different. They both kept me on my toes and busy.
I tried a new recipe on Saturday and made crock pot granola. It was super simple and easy to make and I can tweak it as I wish. I have enough for a few weeks (perhaps I made too much). I love granola mixed with yogurt. I also have tried a prepared pesto or two and fresh ravioli that I enjoyed for the simplicity of a quick meal. Have you tried any new recipes and/or foods?
This past week I finished reading: "THE WOMAN WHO SMASHED CODES" by Jason Fagone. A little technical, but such an interesting and educational read. I watched a couple of movies - "MADE IN ITALY" (2020) interesting father/son movie; and "1917" (2019) story of two soldiers in WWI.
