Today is 911 Remembrance Day. I can remember clearly where I was, what I was doing and how the world changed forever. We will never forget!
Work is support to start this week on new landscaping around our house. Easy, low maintenance is all I want. We submitted the plans to the HOA and boy did they want specifics. Yes, I'm a rule follower 98% of the time. Whether or not they provide final approval the walkway may get torn up today or tomorrow.
I had a good week at work. My client is still receiving and absorbing test results as she waits for the next steps. She realizes there might not be much that can be done, but she will keep plugging away. The Dr. mentioned home pt/ot, but these days it's hard to coordinate. I offered to take her to a facility to get pt started, but the Dr. has not approved this yet. My client mentioned to me the nose guard (rubber piece) of her glasses fell off and the metal was irritating her skin. She does not know when the piece fell off. In case you are looking, it's very difficult if impossible to find eye repair kits with anything but screws and once in a while a white pad. I had to laugh as I went into an eye glass place near her house and although there were three people working no one could help because the tech would not be there until the next day. I ended up on Friday at the place where she originally purchased her glasses, they replaced both guards, realigned her glasses (they were so crooked), and cleaned them up like new. The best part is that they did it for free. There are still some good people in the world. My client was ecstatic.
I must have been busy as I only finished one book: "GROUNDSKEEPING" by Lee Cole - Read with Jenna selection. It's a coming of age story set in Kentucky. I have to be honest, not sure I liked this book as I found it a bit depressing and I'm not sure I liked the characters.

I mourn the loss of Queen Elizabeth II with the rest of the world. She was a remarkable woman and diplomat. Whether or not you believe in the monarchy system, the Queen saw so much and endured so much in her life.
I am leaving it here for today. I can't believe it's still dark. Football is back baby...yahoo!! I can't wait to watch Fox NFL Sunday. I watch the show more than the games. I hope you have a good week. Take care. Chat soon. Marie
“September 11, 2001, revealed heroism in ordinary people who might have gone through their lives never called upon to demonstrate the extent of their courage.” - Geraldine Brooks, author
“Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.” - Former President Barack Obama
“I still have the shoes I wore to work that day. The soles are melted and they’re caked in ash. I keep them in a shoebox with the word ‘deliverance’ written all around it. They’re kind of like my ark, a reminder of God’s presence and the life I owe to him.” - Stanley Praimnath, 9/11 survivor
