Rant for the day: I understand the CDC sending out reminders to get the vaccine, but when you've already registered and received one shot and have an appt for the second, I wish they would stop. I mean sending a reminder via text at 4:30 AM is a bit much. In this day and age with technology I would think the systems could interact with each other. OK...rant over...LOL!!!
My workweek was busy as I added a couple of hours a day for one client. My bit of extra time and aids coming every day have provided the spouse a bit of a break. As we did our chores, I was able to get him out for a walk once or twice which is always nice. It is taking him a bit longer to comprehend even the simplest tasks so patience and lots of time are needed. My other client is as sassy as ever and we laugh a lot when together. She is pretty sharp for 93 and fiercely independent. Her family wants to move her to assisted/independent living and she is fighting it every step of the way. She is getting used to the idea of a caregiver coming in, although as of the other day there has been no movement in that direction.
This past week I finished reading: "LOUISIANA BIGSHOT" by Julie Smith. Interesting story about a young female poet/PI in New Orleans. Of course, I added at least 6 new books to my pile. So many books. so little time...LOL!
