Well, it was one of those weeks here as "The Covid" (as someone I know calls it) invaded the house after 2 1/2 years of caution. As we had visitors we were all exposed and isolated together. Yes, we were all vaccinated and boosted, but it some how found us. Out of an abundance of caution, I took the week off from work although I never tested positive or showed any symptoms. I did not want to bring "The Covid" to my client in any way, shape or form.
I thought I would have to cancel dentist and doctor appointments already scheduled, but after several discussions I was allowed to go forward with appointments. I think they realized they may not see me for months. My dentist aligned my flipper tooth and indicated I am healing well from the oral surgery. My doctor captured me so to speak so I was poked/prodded/immunized (including my 2nd booster) from head to toe. Good thing I belong to an HMO and the facility has everything in one building. My doctor did say "The Covid" is on the rise and she is seeing more and more whole families come in after gatherings. Except for my arm, I'm good to go for a while.
I did experience my first ride to the ER in the front of a rescue vehicle. It was interesting for this short person with a broken arm to climb in/out of the vehicle. My BFF fainted at the dining room table (at least she did not fall to the floor) and to be on the safe side, I called the emergency people. They were so kind and caring and allowed me to travel in the vehicle with them to the ER. All is good with my BFF as after all the tests, they believe it was dehydration.
The advantage to being off this past week was I finished a bunch of reading: "19 YELLOW MOON ROAD" - Fern Michaels - part of the Sisterhood series. "THE PERFECT MURDER" and "COME MIDNIGHT" - Kat Martin - love/murder/intrigue. "THE MATCHMAKER" - Elin Hilderbrand - interesting characters and a few secrets; good beach read. "WALKING WITH GHOSTS" - Gabriel Byrne - a memoir of the actor's life. Even after all that reading, my pile looks no smaller...LOL! I also finished the docuseries: The First Lady (very interesting) and caught up on a few other shows.
