I am not going to get into the politics of the past week. I will say I went through so many emotions and feelings as I'm sure many of you did. I could not stop watching the TV coverage and my heart and head hurt in so many ways. After my initial shock and anger, as a coach I kept thinking how do we learn and grow from here and as a person I'm still dealing with some of the emotions. I am hanging on by looking for the good and hoping positive change will come out of all this anger and anxiety.
My work week went fairly well. I was able to assist with the "undecorating" their Xmas and getting everything to storage. His spouse has several of her own health issues including back so I was glad to help in any way I could. It also gave me a chance to observe my client a little differently when it came to cooperation and directions.
I attended my first drive-by baby shower yesterday. It was lovely and cold. She sat in the driveway with her mom and had a firepit. We were able to stop and chat for a few minutes. They had warm cider and thank you to go bags. Air hugs and love was all around. It was so good to attend something social if somewhat distant.
I finished reading: "WHITE IVY" by Susie Yang. Recommended by the Read With Jenna Book Club. This was an interesting first novel for the author. It deals with class, race, family and identity. I also watched: "Elizabeth Is Missing" on PBS. It's about a women with Alzheimer's trying to resolve a mystery from her past. It was so well done.
