Funny of the week. With all of the wind and rain this past week, Lady had no clue which way was up so to speak. She wanted to go out until we got out. Then she would squat and run back into the house. If it was not raining at that particular moment she would try walking a little. We only walked in open areas as I was nervous about the service roads as many have lots of trees. A few times we both had to ground ourselves in one spot - I felt like the weather people and Lady looked like the flying nun with her ears straight out. I had to laugh when she would stand on the corner and get the wind from all sources. Her sniffer did not know where to turn next. Lady will NOT do her business in the house unless she is sick so we had to at least walk a little a few times a day. We stopped to chat yesterday with the one neighbor that was also walking her dog (by then it had at least stopped raining). Lady barked and barked as she always does when she sees another dog. We headed back to the house and I stopped to put the dirty bag in the shed (moved all trash cans into the shed) - Lady was headed up the ramp. Well, next thing I knew Lady's leash was flying by me as she trotted down the service road toward the road. I went after her calling her name (which she ignored), almost fell heading down the little hill as my balance was off (I think my adrenaline overtook the balance issue) and Lady runs right into the road as I hear a bucket truck coming. Luckily, for me the bucket truck did not turn the corner and I stomped on Lady's leash in the middle of the road. I think she was so happy to be out for a period of time that she wanted to keep going, but almost gave me a heart attack. We headed into the house after that where she immediately took a nap!
I can't explain how the wind and storms impacted my energy levels - Up, down and all around. So much swirling about, I could feel the energy around me wanting to go every which way. Our meditation class focused on abundance and I think we definitely experienced an abundance of mother nature's energy. I found out I won an energy session at a new spiritual wellness center here. I was thrilled and decided to gift it to a local friend that would find it so beneficial at this moment. Were you impacted energetically by the storms?
I notified the nursing home and hospice this past week that I am bringing my mom home. My mom's doctor signed the paperwork approving the transfer. We chose a date and have started a plan of care. They are going to work with me about a training schedule so I can see exactly how they move, dress, and provide personal care. I know I will have help along the way, but I want to be as prepared as possible for anything that happens. Hospice is ordering the equipment and working with the doctor's office regarding medications (we are doing a medication review) and such. We determined her transportation home and which wheelchair we would want to have in the house. I ordered a couple of cameras for monitoring. The excess furniture is headed out tomorrow to charity (not easy to part with some of it, but necessary) and the electrician is expected next week. Working on a schedule to ensure I have some "me" time as well. Every day I know this is more and more the right thing to do.
I am going to leave it here for today - going to spend some time with friends today. I hope you have a good week. Take care. Chat soon. Marie
