Have you ever had that flash of life experience? I had that yesterday as I was headed from NYC to the New Jersey Turnpike. I slowed down as traffic merged and was stopped in front of me. I looked in my rear view mirror and all I saw was an 18-wheeler headed right at me. I had enough room to turn my wheels to the right and move just as the driver realized (I think) what was about to happen. He turned his rig quickly (luckily no one was beside him) and missed me by inches and kept going. If he had not done that I would have been into the car in front of me in a heartbeat. That flash of life I had is what saved me I believe. I'm not sure the driver in front of me realized how close we came to an accident, but I said a prayer for both of us. I was a little shook up, but took a very deep breath and kept on going, after all, have to move with the traffic.
I listened to music the entire trip. I had some CDs in the car, but had grabbed a bin of my dad CDs and they were on the passenger seat. After that close call with the semi, I listened to my parent's music the rest of the way home. Yes, I sang and reminisced quite a bit...all happy memories.
I brought quite a few items from Plymouth to Sterling including clothes, shoes (I have too many of both), jewelry, and chachkies. Because I had two big TVs in the back, I carried lots of smaller items and fit many things in shoe boxes (I knew they would come in handy some day...LOL). Believe me when I say I purged shoes and clothes in Plymouth and donated quite a bit this past week. I then purged my closets here last night and have things to donate or give away this week. I left a few packed boxes and many more items in Plymouth which I will get over the winter. I met with a real estate agent while there and got an idea of what I should get done before putting on the market in spring. Truly, not as much as I anticipated, but still enough to keep someone busy over the winter with inside work.
I had an awesome lunch catching up with my fellow light warriors. I so miss our meditation group. It was so nice being around their energy and love. I so need to begin a practice again.
I had coffee with the hospice nurse who cared for my both of my parents and it was wonderful to catch up. I told her about the small companion job I have and how I have spoken to others with families going through some of what I have been through with elderly parents or loved ones. She said, I always thought you would make a great advocate and/or ombudsman. I have to admit I thought about both of those, but not at this time.
Well, the good news is that I will start a new job this coming week. Yes, I will work for a small home health company as a companion (not aid) to the elderly. I will be part time a few days a week for a few hours on those days. I have not given up my own client as she is someone I love being around. I need to start a new routine/normal and this is one way for me to begin. I may have to change my workout times, but I'm not giving up on that either.

Don't forget to VOTE this week! I truly believe in exercising this right as American citizens. I believe, if you don't vote you can not complain and should never ever get involved in a political discussion of any kind. I honestly do not care how you vote and will never discuss how I vote, but VOTE!
I am going to leave it here for today. I think it's time for a shower and coffee (perhaps not in that order). I hope you have a wonderful week. Take care. Chat soon. Marie
