First, I need to apologize for last week's blog as I just realized Friday that much of it was cut off and not published. I swear it was there when I pushed the post button. I found out some received the full blog and some did not - not sure what technical issue is involved....let's hope today goes better.
The last week was hectic as it was the final push to get everything done at the house in Plymouth. I left the house fresh and clean. I said a prayer of thanks for many years of memories (both happy and sad) and wished happiness for the next residents, whomever they may be. I visited the family graves to pray and say goodbyes. I made sure to see my elderly neighbor on Friday and he hugged me tight (after he said I'm a pain in the ass, but he'd miss me). I've written on FB of the many treasures and such I found and the memories that came up with them. Although, I'm not the first to walk this path and won't be the last, I'm hoping my journey has helped others as it helped me.. Over the next few weeks I will probably write a bit more about some of highs/lows and lessons learned of the journey. I'm not sure when the house will be listed, as there were already four people lined up to see it between yesterday and today. I hope to get some feedback later today or tomorrow.
I am off work (they held my job/clients for me) this coming week as I wanted a few days to settle back in (sleep in my own bed) and put items away here. Although, I took all precautions on my travel yesterday and basically self-quarantined for the past 8 weeks, I do not want to bring any risk to my clients.
Since I was in a hotel this past week, I got to watch premium movie channels that I don't have at home. So I took advantage and watched several. Documentaries: Showbiz Kids (2020); The Weight of Gold (2020); Say Her Name: The Life and Death of Sandra Bland (2018); 41 (2012); and True Justice: Bryan Stevenson's Fight for Equality (2019). All so interesting and educational. Movies: The Good Liar (2019); Harriet (2019); Loving (2016) and Last Christmas (2019).
I finished reading: "MURDER AT GETTYSBURG" by Leslie Wheeler - murder mystery with history woven throughout. "FROM SCRATCH" by Tembi Locke a memoir of love, Sicily and finding home. This was a Reese's Book Club selection.
