Spent much of the week sorting through more treasures. It's amazing the memories, laughter and tears that come up as I look at different items. I posted more pictures on my personal page and it seems I brought back memories for many of my friends/family as well. I'm just about done with the majority of sorting within the house and some furniture will head out the door this week. Next, I need to pack up the items and determine where they will go - I might be bringing back more to VA than I originally planned until I can make a few decisions...LOL! Some of the furniture will go out the door this coming week and hopefully, the work will get started.
I finally took a drive along the harbor yesterday (or at last part of it) as I went visit a dear friend. It felt so good to see and smell the ocean. I need to do that a little more while I'm here. Traffic is usually crazy this time of year with the tourists, but although there were some detours to accommodate restaurants not nearly as crowded as I've seen it. Lots of changes along the way. It was so worth being in the traffic to see my friend/energy worker and catch up. She gave me a bundle sage (all of mine is in VA) to burn for cleansing/healing. As I forgot to take it out of my purse I can smell it here beside me. I miss my time spent with her and fellow light workers. I need to put a regular routine together.
This will give you a giggle for the day. While cleaning I have found so many coffee percolators and tea pots. I have not percolated coffee since I was a kid (many memories of my dad setting it all up) and with the invention of Keurig I don't need to. Well, I have a one cup Keurig with me (along the lines of what you'd find in a hotel). It was used when I got it a while back and had been put away for a little while in favor of the bigger Keurig. It worked great the past two weeks as I used it three/four times a day. I think it got tired, like many things in the house, as It decided late yesterday afternoon to die...one less thing to bring back to VA. I laughed when it died and thought....that's one way to get me out of the house for a little bit every day and perhaps see people. I am definitely not going back to percolating coffee as there are three places I can get fresh coffee within 2 miles of this house. So I'll be headed out after I get ready for the day for a quick Dunks drive thru visit.
This week I finished reading: "THE HOUSE OF KENNEDY" by James Patterson with Cynthia Fagan. Interesting history/story telling of the Kennedy Family. It's interesting that I read this book as I found quite a few bits of Kennedy memorabilia in the house. Many brought back memories of where they were placed and different events. As I've said previously, you can't be of my generation in Massachusetts and not be enmeshed with the Kennedy family.
