My heart and prayers go out to those in Texas and Ohio where mass shootings occurred. I have no words to express my feelings. I will not preach about guns and politics. I can only say I do not understand where/how/why people believe they have the right to take away the lives of others so brutally or at all.
Overall, my week went well. I spent quite a bit of time on the phone as I caught up with friends and family. At least the phones aren't as heavy as they were and having them mobile makes it easier to continue a conversation from almost anywhere. I plan on catching up with a few more local friends this coming week in person.
My morning workouts are going well. I go five mornings a week and finish seven classes. I can feel the different muscles getting used and starting to get a little stronger. I need to work on my balance a bit more as I'm still wobbly during some moves, but I'll get there. I definitely get the blood flowing and the heart pumping in the morning! I do some days take a power nap in the afternoon, something I have not done in a long time. But I figure if I need it, just go along for the snooze...LOL!
Lady did great at the new groomer. She serenaded me in the car to/from, but overall did wonderful. She looked so cute with her bandana on when I picked her up. I did post a picture on my personal FB page of her.
I did my companion work this past week. She turned 92 on Monday and is sassy as ever. I think she is enjoying the clean out a bit as she had a few items ready for me to take away. She was an interior designer and sewer so she had lots of fabric remnants, patterns, etc. I have a friend of a friend who can use the items for so many things so it's a win/win. I told her all I learned from the appraiser and will set that up for the fall once we have gone through a few more things to ensure we have it all ready. She made me laugh out loud. I asked her if she wanted to go through the clothes in one of the closets upstairs. She said, NO, let my kids do that after I'm gone. They need to do something. They are lucky that I'm cleaning out what I'm doing. I almost fell over with laughter.
Someone asked me last week how I find the fb pages, blogs and websites I mention here. Mainly, they are recommendations from my followers, friends and family. Or, when I'm researching a topic and feel you might be interested. I am a basic person, no Twitter, no streaming or other things the kids are using. With that being said, nothing new this week.
I finished reading "CRIMINAL" and "UNSEEN" by Karin Slaughter. The 6th and 7th books of the Will Trent Series.
