I will say, Lady is having a bit of difficulty adjusting this time, due to the heat. She likes to walk on the tar/cement and it's just too hot. She will only squat on the lawn or in the backyard. She will only walk when she absolutely needs to do her business. I try to find the shady spots for her to at least take a break. She has had a few accidents in the house so I am watching her actions closer to at least get her to the yard on time.
I will admit it feels weird to be at home in Sterling. This will definitely be a longer stay so it's time to put my life in order. I am cleaning out a few items - old shoes (do you know how long it's been since I've worn actual dress type shoes?); clothes (just don't fit or fit my lifestyle any longer); etc. I can see donations will be forthcoming as I rearrange. I was able to have chiropractic and acupuncture care ....I can say AHHH! Dental appointments coming up and a few other things. I see Jazzercise in my future as I bought new workout shoes the other day...LOL!
I did not close up the house in Plymouth per se. If I went back tomorrow I could settle right in. But I did need to distance myself for a while. I will need to go back in the fall to prepare the house for winter. I truly need to make some decisions and I felt like I was becoming too insulated in many ways. Remember last week when I wrote I was becoming a hermit? I think putting that thought into words in the blog made me realize I need to take some action.
I know I need some structure in my day/week because if I don't have it, I become lazier and lazier. I guess I'll be updating my resume and looking for a part time job. What that looks like at this moment, I have no idea. I did renew my Dementia certification with the NCCDP so I have an option there. I have a few goals/plans in mind (part of the reason for a paying job). Depending on the job, I could do some volunteering on the side. I do not want to grow my other business, which would be fairly easy to do. I have enough with that business at the moment. Oh well, I'll figure it out...LOL!
When I was in Ireland, I wore my Fitbit watch. I had charged it completely before I left and forgot to bring the charger. I will say, I was mildly surprised when I returned and still had 4% left on the charge. I do remove it at night so it has downtime. I truly expected it to die while on the trip.so I was amazed that it was not charged for 9 days and still had a little bit left.

I did finish a Patterson novel this past week. I purchased all the Karin Slaughter Will Trent series so I can start from the beginning. Nothing like finishing a book before finding out it's part of a series and there are 8 before. OH well, we'll see how long it takes to get through them all.
I am going to leave it here for today. I hope you have an awesome week. Take Care! Chat soon! Happy Independence Day! Marie
I found the following saying (at the bottom of an old brief case) from a fortune cookie (must be years old as I have not had Chinese food in quite a long time). When I found it I knew it was meant to be posted/shared:
"WE NEED TO ATTRACT PEOPLE WHO CREATE MORE LIGHT THAN HEAT."
