My week went well. I worked my normal schedule and met a few of my client's neighbors. I am hoping as we head toward spring to get my client out for little walks around the area. With the cold, he does not want to head out unless it's to eat or with his spouse. He was a bit cranky with the OT person (I stay in the other room) and just would not cooperate. Even she was surprised. Oh well, we all have off days. My client's wife is considering adult day camp for him as one of the neighbor's attends. It would be a day or two a week and give him some socialization and stimulation. I am doing some research for one of the neighbors on tracking systems. Her husband is a wanderer and has cut off the tracker provided by the sheriff's office three times - he was dropped from the program. There are so many interesting products out there now so I'm hoping for an easy inexpensive solution for them.
My mind is scattered already today. There are so many thoughts and people just popping in/out so I'm having a hard time focusing. Usually, I can quiet my mind a little, but then again, you never know what great ideas might pop in...LOL! This is part of the reason I do better with guided meditation because when I try to quiet the mind on my own it just goes a little wild. I need to take a breath or two and focus. Do you ever get this way?
I think of my friend Barbara almost daily in some way. She passed away 10 years ago after a long illness. We met in 1977 at Liberty Mutual and we hit it off immediately. WOW could her cook and bake! We partied hardy back in the day and spent most weekends together. I won't go into detail, but even as I write this I see us on our adventures. Although we thought we would be laughing together into our old age, it was not meant to be. I wish I could have spent more time with her, but we made our time together count. Her family basically adopted me and even threw me a moving shower when I moved to the Washington area. We have kept in touch and see them when I can. I know she would be so proud of the young woman her daughter has grown into. Hugs to all of them.
I did make myself proud on Thursday. When I worked out a lot I learned to like the plank - the ones with straight arms with much pressure on the wrists. I could plank for minutes at a time and I felt strong. Well, skip forward a few years and a lot less workouts and I have not even attempted one. I did a couple of them at Jazzercise the other day and felt pretty good. I could not sustain them as long as others, but at least I tried. My chiropractor recommends I do them on my forearms/elbows vice straight arms because of the carpel tunnel and I may try that. It just felt good to attempt.
I finished reading: "LOST" by James Patterson and James O. Born...start of a new series I think. Also two books from the Reese Witherspoon book club - "THE SECRETS WE KEPT" by Lara Prescott - a novel about Cold War; the CIA/KBG and Dr. Zhivago. It was very interesting. "THE SCENT KEEPER" by Erica Bauermeister. Beautifully written - not sure what I expected, but it was very good.
In the last couple of weeks I watched: Second Act (2018); The Best of Enemies (2019) and the Documentary: The Witnesses - which is about Jehovah Witnesses and sexual abuse. Of course, an assortment of Hallmark movies were also watched.

A big smile for cuteness. A friend has a six pound tiny terrier puppy and he was spayed on Friday. She sent me a picture of him with his collar on and he's the cutest little thing. I'm sure he was not too happy, but just so darn cute. No I did not include the picture as I forgot to ask her permission, but I'm still smiling at his little face.
On a side note - Thank you to those that "like" my page on FB. I don't advertise or have sponsors so the majority of those who like my page are my friends/family/colleagues/acquaintances. It's a glimpse into my personal world and I so appreciate many of you have been with me a very long time.
I am going to leave it here for today...my mind is still wandering...LOL! I hope you have a good week. Take care. Chat soon. Marie
