I just woke up from a crazy dream and I must have been very active because I'm tired. I don't remember all of the dream; except I was riding a bike (something I have not done in a very long time) and as I was looking for the person I was out riding with; I walked into a cafe full of former colleagues (almost like a reunion). Have no idea what any of it meant, but it was interesting.
I had an overall good week. Work went well and both clients were fairly cooperative. Although it's not manual labor by any means, it can still be tiring. Sometimes when I get home a need a short nap to refresh.
I did get a haircut yesterday after debating with myself most of the week. I made sure there were procedures in place before I sat down. I carried my own wipes and wore my mask. My hairdresser wore gloves, although I did notice other hairdressers were not all wearing gloves. They are definitely not easy to work in (depending on type) as I wear them at work as well. I did not care that the prices went up a little, but I was given a senior discount without even asking (it's the white hair). WOW what a difference a haircut made in my overall appearance and mood.
I had a bit of an expensive week as I purchased a new car, but it was needed. I was having engine and transmission issues and I don't want to deal with that stuff. I decided to jump right in. I sort of knew what I wanted as I had done some research and wanted to test drive to be sure. I traded in my car (2011 Chevy Equinox) and I got a decent price because of the mileage. All the stars aligned, so to speak, so I purchased a 2020 Ford Escape. I definitely will be easy to spot as the color is Sedona Orange, but it's so pretty and peppy! The last time I purchased a car the technology was a bit different so I'm still trying to get used to it. I keep pulling out the manual to check what different buttons mean. I think it's funny that my car insurance went down $4.00 (same coverage).
This week I finished reading: "THE BROKEN ROAD" by Richard Paul Evans and "THE PRAYER BOX" by Lisa Wingate. Both very good stories, very well written. I must have been in the mood for hope and redemption because both are along this line. I watched two powerful movies: "JUST MERCY" and "SELMA". I also watched "THE PEANUT BUTTER FALCON" and "A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD."
