It was a good week as I got back into a sort of schedule. I attended six Jazzercise classes in four days during the week. I know it was a bit much, but it did feel good. For now, I will attend the classes during the week and skip weekends when it's crowded - which will also be rest time for the body. I was able to try different classes with different instructors. My body overall did pretty well. Believe me, the flexibility is not there yet, but hopefully it will come back a bit. I need to stretch a bit more, but I'll get there. I was so warmly greeted by many of the instructors and members who remember me from before. Of course, lots of new members, instructors and music to get to know. Feels good to be doing Jazzercise again.
I am thinking of starting a small meditation group in my home (at least for now) or perhaps I bring it to you (so to speak). I so miss the group I attended with my fellow light warriors. They are on my mind always. The discussions we had before and after were wonderful. As I wrote previously, I am no good at doing meditation on my own, but the guided group was so helpful. I have studied Reiki and would like to do a bit more studying/practicing as well. Again, only in early planning/thoughts. Have you ever attended a group meditation? What are your thoughts?
I started back as the companion for the Lady I worked with a couple of months ago. She's is such a nice person with a great sense of humor. I cleaned out her fridge (not freezer) and I was immediately brought back to my parent's fridge. So stuffed with so many things and most of them expired for several years. When I was done, she had at least two empty door shelves and lots of space. I was able to do a couple of meal preps for her - she does not like to eat alone so she forgets to cook. Next week I might be tackling the freezer - she told me it was worse...LOL! She lives about 45 minutes away from me - so I take the highway out to her house, but then on the return I drive through some pretty country area where there are still farms and lots of vineyards. It's a nice drive in the late afternoon (at least until schools start again).
I put two boxes together of donations (clothes/shoes) from my closets and they are in the back of my car for drop off one of these days. My car actually looks like I live in it. So many tote bags for groceries, dog carrier, blanket, towels, couple of pairs of workout shoes, and now boxes. Perhaps some day I'll clean it out and actually have it washed...that would be a miracle of it's own...LOL! Do you look like you live in your car?
I've had a few nights of broken sleep because Lady had a few accidents. Lady does not whine and/or make noise when she wants to go out. She will also not go toward or use a puppy pad. She has found a particular spot she likes to use (not a good one either). I have to watch and/or listen for her movements. When Lady is in the house I remove her collar because of the clanking tags. Well, the collar has gone back on so I can hear her when she starts to wander the house. I have cut back on her evening snacks and try (when she does not plant her butt on the ground) for a longer walk before bed. I truly do not want to have to restrict her movements to one room so hopefully she will get back on track.
I finished reading two books this past week: "THE BEANTOWN GIRLS" by Jane Healey. A fictional story based on the real Red Cross Clubmobile program during World War II. A wonderful read. Also, "FRACTURED" by Karin Slaughter. The 2nd book in the Will Trent series...murder/mayhem.
