I was able to get in a few workout classes this past week and they felt so good. I am so much more motivated by having others around. Thank you Lori for your early morning sessions. It's also great when I can get to a Jazzercise class or two daily. The music and the people keep me going. I could definitely tell the muscles I had not worked for a few weeks as they were quite sore for a couple of days, but a good sore. I have been using the band to stretch a bit as I really need to do that. What about you? Have you found something that you like to do? Are you taking care of yourself?
I finished watching the show Belief that was on the OWN network for a week. When it originally aired I recorded the shows and finally caught up. I have to say I found it amazing. The stories involved people from all religions so it was educational as well. They explained their faith and rituals and many I had never heard of so to see them was fascinating. Did you catch any of it? What did you think?
This past week I read: "Lost and Found" by Carol deLaski. It's about discovering strength in love and faith. Very well written with thoughtful/reflective questions at the end of each chapter. It was an easy read, yet had me pondering at each chapter. What are you reading? I listened to an audio book on my drive to Myrtle Beach and it really brought out emotions as I must have cried at least four times during the drive. The book: "Home Front" by Kristin Hannah is about families where the mothers are soldiers in the National Guard Reserves. It's about how they handle their lives before and after they are called up to active duty.
Have you ever woken up exhausted after what you thought was a good nights sleep? That's how I have been feeling the past couple of days. I am not dreaming as far as I know - although I have in the past so I know why I'm tired when I wake up. I must be processing lots of stuff which will eventually sort itself out, but in the meantime I wake up thinking roll over. I know everything will work out so I get up and start my day. Thank goodness for books and the computer.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER MARION! I hope papa gave you the envelope I left behind for you. Have a wonderful day surrounded by your family. I am already planning next year since it will be a big one....LOL!!!!
I am going to leave it here for today. I hear the lawn mowers on the golf course and it's only 6:39 am. Think I'll get ready for my day and perhaps drive over to the beach for a walk. Off to visit some family today and taste some Italian pastry from a local bakery I found yesterday. I hope you have a good week. Enjoy something in each day. Take care. Chat soon. Marie
