I've had a fun and busy week. I went from blue streaks in my hair to pink and purple with a slightly different cut. I must admit coloring my hair is more fun that I thought it would be. The observations I have made over the past few days is that most women and girls love it and all say something. Papa observed that my hair is a conversation starter. Most men just keep looking and sometimes get a smirk, but they are just not sure what to do or say. Mema laughed the first day, but told my sister yesterday that she did not like it. I think it's because it is so bright and bolder than the last time I did it. Papa on the other hand said this morning, "I never said I did not like it. I'm just glad you waited until now to try this crazy stuff." I feel like I am a bit of a happy machine as so many people seem happier after checking out the hair. To be honest, I don't know if I could have done something like this when I was younger. Perhaps my confidence has grown as I got older or my "give a damn" is busted so to speak. Thanks Gina for helping me spread sunshine! What have you done for grins and giggles lately?
I have been a lazy person since I got to Plymouth, staying in bed until after 7, not going to the gym, etc. I think the weather had a lot to do with my being worn out. But, I'm ready to head back to gym Monday morning and get started on a routine again. It won't be the same as Jazzercise or working out with the mini group, but it will keep me moving. What are you doing to keep moving?
This past week I finished reading: THE ADDICTIVE PERSONALITY: UNDERSTANDING THE ADDICTIVE PROCESS AND COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR by Craig Nakken. I have had this book on my shelf for over 4 years and finally read it. What I liked about this book is that it did not focus on drugs and alcohol, but also on other addictions including food. The book had good information and resources. What are you reading?
My mom/mema had a good week. I can see little differences since the last time I was here, but overall she is doing well. She learned by accident that Lady (dog) is in the house. She took it very well and every day asks about her. She does get a kick out of the fact that papa has to walk Lady several times a day. She likes to hear the stories about behavior and such. Papa is glad that the secret is out because he hates keeping secrets.
I don't know about you, but I get caught up in trying to watch the premiers of many of the fall shows. I know some won't make it, but I find it interesting to see what's on. I still don't watch too many comedies, I am more interested in drama and crime. Have any recommendations? What are you watching?
I am going to leave it here today. I hope you have a good week. Take care. Have a few laughs or make someone smile - it will feel so good. Chat soon. Marie
