My next door neighbor was so excited to see us, she opened her window from the top and hung out to chat. She let me know her mom broke her wrist and she was bitten by a dog that ran loose in the neighborhood. Since she had no idea who the dog belonged to; she had to get rabies shots as well as stitches. Guess I better keep my eye out when I'm walking Lady.
There are 22 messages on the answering machine...may listen to them tomorrow. The mail was all piled neatly inside the sunporch along with the bill for spring lawn maintenance. Now I just have to arrange to have the irrigation system turned on (maybe that's one of the messages).
As many of you know I look for signs of angels and when I see them I take note for myself. I brought the dog in the house and immediately had the smell of my mom - I swear it was her powder/perfume. Then I stepped on the patio to grab some of the bags and a cardinal almost hit me in the head. I think they are letting me know we are safe and sound.
Lady gets groomed this week and she will also be seeing the vet in the next week or so for her annual check up and shots. She will be 14 this month so I'll have to be sure I get her special treats. Since I started putting this blog together she has moved to couch and passed out behind the pillow (her favorite spot).
I want to spend the next few weeks looking into what my purpose will be. This is a weird time for as I let most of the certifications lapse and I'm trying to determine what comes next. Do I renew my certs? Do I attend more seminars, classes, etc. to help with the certs? Of course, in the past, purpose for me meant work, but over the past few years that idea has changed a bit. As my purpose evolves, I'll let you know what comes up. Right now, I can't think any more.
For those that I did not get to see when I was in Sterling, hold tight..I'll be back and we will definitely catch up.
Last week I forgot to mention what I finished reading. "The Woman In Cabin 10" by Ruth Ware. It's a murder mystery with some interesting twists. A very good read.
