For my federal friends...all I can say is I remember those days of stress and budgets. The preparing for a shutdown is as anxious as trying to catch up when it's over. I always hated the stress involved in being a pawn in a much bigger picture.
I was certified in Reiki II yesterday and what a day of energy it was. It was a small class and I met someone that has an abundance of energy and such a good heart. At times it was a bit overwhelming, but amazing. As you're practicing you never know what will come up for you or the other person...sort of like a coaching session. As I've learned through coaching and now energy work, I can't change others, but I might be able to assist them with healing and moving forward. Yesterday I was told my energy felt like "mother love" and they were comforted by me. I believe it's because I am in caregiver mode and always trying to take care of others. After so many years of being told I came across as a cold-hearted, mean/hard person, it amazes me to hear this.
I had an emotional week so to end it with energy work was wonderful and calming. I am constantly amazed at how suddenly emotions will take over and my eyes leak although I try to hide it. I am in decision-making mode and although many of you know my logical thinking brain in solving problems this time my emotions keep getting involved. Oh well, more research and list making needed. It will all work out at some point, but boy it's tiring!
I had an interesting people week. It's funny how small our world is. I used to see this woman every morning at the gym and then I dropped out so to speak. I met with someone for a discussion and she brought along this woman. We had a good laugh when she realized where I knew her from. Always great to broaden my circle. I also said good luck to a young woman off to start a new adventure across the country. I have known her for only a couple of years, but she always managed to brighten my day (and not just because she made me coffee). She has a gentle spirit and I hope her next adventure is all she hopes it to be. I don't know if she will see this or not....Good Luck Leah!
I hope you are all feeling well and increasing vitamin C consumption. The flu that is going around is really scary for all ages. We've had schools shut down because of the outbreaks. I have to say it always amazes me when they close schools to clean from top to bottom - when I thought that was being done at least once a week (perhaps over the weekend when empty). Shows you how naive I am. I worry at the nursing home when I hear sneezing and wheezing as the elderly are so susceptible to any germs and a couple have had pneumonia.
For those of you that follow me on FB, I try to only post a couple of inspiring pics/quotes per day. I only share it if it touched me in some way as I hope it resonates with you. I follow many different groups/pages and some post almost every hour and it can be a bit much for me. As I don't want to inundate you with too much, I will continue to limit how much I post daily. If there is ever a topic in particular you want me to write about or find inspiration for, just let me know.
I am going to leave it here for today. Need to get things moving along with my day. Have a football game or two this afternoon to watch! GO PATS!!!!!! I hope you have a good week. Take care! Marie
