How are those New Year resolutions? I saw something on TV Friday that it was the day most people break their resolutions. I kept thinking who knows this? Who studies these types of silly things? I am still working hard at my goal of not being online until the afternoon (except Sunday blog time). I have found that I am getting lots of reading done though and it's a wonderful side effect.
My mom had a quiet week. Chaplain Jim came by and sang/played guitar. Although mom was sleeping, she appeared to hear the music as she moved her feet and squeezed my hand. I know her angels are close by.
For those of you keeping up with Lady, she has either Cushings Disease or Diabetes Insipidus. Either one can come on with age and/or brain tumor/head trauma. The vet and I had a long discussion about moving forward and all is good for now.
To give you a laugh today...I tried grocery shopping online this past week. I am slow to embrace technology and download apps to my phone, but I did. I ordered via my laptop and went to pick up yesterday. It was one of the easiest things I've ever done...LOL! Only one substitution of which i was advised online and had the opportunity to change if I wanted. I pulled up and before I could type in my parking space number the clerk came out with all of my stuff. So much easier than standing in line. I tried to tip him, but he said they are not allowed to take it and they are on camera. Although I had a large order, I saved money, as I have a tendency to pick up lots of extra items as I wander the store. I won't say I'm hooked, but I will definitely try again. Who knows I might try delivery in the middle of winter.
I just finished watching the Lifetime docuseries "Surviving R. Kelly." I watched it over a few days as I was so disgusted and felt like I needed a shower. It is so hard to see what he has gotten away with and how long he has been allowed to get away with everything. I am so disgusted by all his people that knew what was happening and did nothing...I truly feel that all of those involved should be prosecuted as well as R. Kelly. To know he was put on trial for child porn and was acquitted because no one believed the witnesses and the family and victim denied it all. I am disgusted and angry.
I read: "ORDINARY GRACE" by William Kent Krueger. It's set in 1961 rural Minnesota and it's the summer in the life of a 13 year old boy. It's looked at from the perspective of the main character 40 years later.
I realized one night this past week that I have not published the fun wacky days in a couple of weeks...I could swear I copied it somewhere, but who knows....LOL! I won't bore you with the old ones, but will put this weeks. The daily and wacky holidays for the week...provides something lighthearted to think about:
